Sekolah Rendah Layong, Tutong II
One aim: To Strive For Success

Our school has tasted defeat against the host this year (SR Bukit Udal), but recent training suggest our netball team can turn things around this time round. Our first match will be on the 5th May, 2009 against our fellow colleagues at SR Benutan. So, supporters, grab your pom-poms and come down to support our school. As an old saying goes, "failure is the mother of all success", GO LAYONG!!!!!

Last Thursday, our beloved school and teachers conducted an activity which involved everyone in the school, teachers and pupils' alike. For this particular week, we decided to do an activity on Traditional Foods of Brunei. Lots and lots but not all were introduced to all pupils' some of the traditional foods were Salurut, Kuih Lenggang, Ardam, Kekara, Kuripit, Madu Kesirat, Kusoi, Jit Manis and also Kuih Jala. More pictures will be on slideshow on the sidebar.

Last Saturday, we went all the way to SR Bukit Udal and had a netball friendly with the host this year. We went there hoping to continue where we left off last time with our football team but unfortunately our team sank to a 14-1, a heavy defeat but for sure our team got a good exprience and this lost was rather a wake up call for the team. Go Layong!!!!

Better luck next time girls. At least we got the exprience we need for the game to come and for next year.

Together We Stand

Dear readers, First and foremost, i would like to take the opportunity to apologize for the late updates on what had been going on at the school lately. Due to certain workshops and other responsibilities that kept us at the school abit busy. Last two weeks ago, our school conducted a prayer session for teachers and pupils'. This particular session will lead by our very own Uztazah Rohani.

Some of the muslim teachers that were involved in this religious activity.

Pre school pupils' certainly seem intriged on the morning's activity that particular week.

The surah Yassin that was read that week.

Year five pupils' recting the doa.

All pupils' were pgrouped in the ICT room before the activity was actually conducted.

Our Very Own Life Boat

Our school amongst others had the privilege of owning our very own life boat. Basically, we received our little Herbie (Life Boat) after the massive flash floods that hit Tutong II last time, but we decided to wait until our garage for Herbie was finally done that we decided to finally published this news.

Our very own life boat finally in her new home. Beautiful sight, don't you think so?

Cg Razak posing himself beside our beloved Herbie.

Who's under the school? That is our loyal Uncle Jumat helping us carry Herbie to her new home.

Four men sharing strength as we all carry the life boat to the garage, not as easy as it looks, that's for sure.

Early morning work out for the men in school.

Our Uncle Jumat trying on a canvas that doesn't fit with the life boat. Looks like we have to look for a canvas that fits nicely with the life boat.

Three ladies on top helping the men below but from three it slowly turns to one.

Here, we are actually trying on the canvas given to us along with the life boat but sadly it doesn't fit nicely.

Even our GB (Cg Kasim) took the time from his office to help us carry the life boat to the garage.
